This work inspired by a 1980s ink sketch by my father of the elegant office entrance to this former cutlery factory, before it was converted to modern office space. This grand building typifies the recent repurposing some of the city's earlier manufacturing centres for office and living space, but the impressions of earlier lives still linger.
